12 watt amplifier circuit using LA4460

A very simple audio amplifier electronic project , can be designed using the LA4460 audio power amplifier IC . This audio amplifier circuit project is very simple and require few external electronic components . LA4460 audio amplifier IC has a high gain of 51dB typ. and high power output of 12W typ.

Voltage gain is fixed at 51dB, however, lowering the gain is possible by adding a resistor.
Some of most important features of the LA4460 IC are : reverse connection protection , muting function ,thermal runaway protection circuit ,over voltage & surge voltage protection circuit, load short-circuit current limiting protection circuit, output pins DC short-circuit protection .

This audio power amplifier module can be used for car radio applications , TV , or some other audio circuits that don’t require huge power .
This LA4460 audio amplifier module must be powered from a 13.2 DC power supply circuit (13.2V is recommended to power this circuit ) .

For this audio power module you can use 4 or 8 ohms speakers .
Using two similar circuits or one audio amplifier based on LA4460 and one audio amplifier based on LA4461 ( LA4461 is similar with LA4460 , but pins are reversed ) you can design a very simple high efficiency stereo audio system .
