BA5406 2x3 watts stereo audio amplifier

A very simple stereo audio amplifier circuit diagram that can be used for small applications that not require much power can be constructed using this circuit diagram . This audio circuit is based on the BA5406 audio integrated circuit and is capable to provide maximum output power of 3 watts per channel . This audio IC contains almost all needed components in the package , so it not require many external components .

BA5406 audio amplifier can be powered from a power supply about 5 to 15 volts , but  Maximum output the maximum power will only be obtained with a power supply of at least 12V and greater than 1.5 A, using 4 ohm speakers .

This low power audio amplifier has two separates inputs and two separate outputs in one package.

The power supply should be well filtered to reduce mains hum (you should use electrolytic capacitor of at least 1000 uF with a voltage rating of 16V or more).

Be careful when soldering the IC not to use excessive heat.

BA5406 IC must be mounted on some heat sink , to prevent overheating .
