HA1377 is a power amplifier IC manufactured by Hitachi and is capable to deliver up to 5.8 watts per each channel ( 2 channels ) . The HA1377 based power audio amplifier is capable to deliver the specified power on a 4 ohms load impedance at 10 percents distortions .
The HA1377 IC must be mounted on a small heatsink for temperature dissipation . The power supply voltage for the HA1377 power amplifier must deliver a output voltage around 13 volts DC .
If you don’t have a 13 volts power supply you can use another power supply even if the output voltage is a little high than 13 volts , the maximum voltage supported by IC is around 18 volts ( don’t use the maximum supported ) .
This amplifier circuit based on the HA1377 require few external components and offer other features like : thermal shutdown and overvoltage protection up to 50 volts for 200ms .
As you can see in the schematic circuit diagram the HA1377 consists of two amplifiers in the same package ( one amplifier for each channel ) and support 2 and 4 ohms load impedance .
