Tone control circuit

A very simple tone control circuit can be constructed using few common electronic components . This schematic tone control circuit . This tone control circuit is very simple and low cost. Using this circuit you can control treble and bass frequencies .

This circuit needs to be powered from a 12 volts DC power supply . If you want to use it in a stereo audio system you can build two identical circuits .

VR1 potentiometer in series with capacitor C4 forms the tremble control ( when slider of potentiometer is at the lower end , minimum tremble signal develops across the load ) .
Low frequencies are controlled by VR2 potentiometer ( when the slider is at the lowest end , bass will have the minimum attenuation ) .
Bass boost an bass cut are effective by 15dB at 16Hz, compared to the output at 1khz ; the treble boost an d tremble cut are also effective at the same amount at 20kHz compared to the output at 10kHz.
